BAC WATER
Bacteriostatic Water 10 ml is the diluent the rest of the bench depends on. Superia Labs supplies it as a sterile solution containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, the preservative that allows a vial to be entered more than once without compromising what is inside it.
Plain sterile water is a single-use product. The benzyl alcohol in bacteriostatic water suppresses bacterial growth between punctures, which is what makes it the standard choice for reconstituting lyophilised material that will be drawn from across multiple sessions.
Each vial is filled and sealed under sterile conditions and sterility verified before release. Store at room temperature away from direct light; after the first puncture, refrigerate at 2–8°C and discard 28 days later.
